Wag Your Tail Along the Trail
June 1 @ 9:00 am - June 14 @ 5:00 pm

Dearest doggie friends,
We lovingly invite you to beg your human to bring you to the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail between June 1st and 14th. Each winery will have a biscuit or treat just for you- since you are the goodest boy or girl there is- and many scratches from others to make your tail wag extra hard.
“Does my hooman get something, too?” you might be wondering. Of course, they do! There’s a pre-registration form below that they can fill out to a) get your a free doggy bandana that’ll have you even more handsomer or beauifuler than you were before you got here! an b) it’ll get your human signed up for the pooch-friendly scavenger hunt punch card. It’s good for the entire 2 weeks and contains things to check off like tastings, purchases, photo booth participation, shelter donations, etc. (More are still being worked on and added.) If they cross off a certain amount during those 2 weeks, and then turn that card into their last winery (or drop it in the mail to the wine trail office), they’ll be entered to win a grand prize! The grand prize features a future overnight stay at the Cayuga Lake Cabins, swag from Sip Back and Relax Tours, a White Deer Auto Tour, and a gift card to Discover Cayuga Lake.
Some tidbits you might need to make sure you or your human knows:
- The Cayuga Lake Wine Trail member wineries’ tasting rooms are 100% pet-friendly, other than restaurant spots.
- This event is free to participate in. The only fees associated are the tasting fees incurred at each winery they choose to taste at and anything else they want to buy you or themselves!
If they’re one of the first 100 dogs to preregister, you’ll receive a free bandana!! (This part is maxed out!!)
- Even though we’re sure you’ll be on your best behavior, we ask that you remain on your leash at all times. I know I know, running around with the zoomies is so much fun, but we wouldn’t want you to get loose and run too far away.
- The wine trail is also working on some other things your human can buy to commemorate your trip on the trail such as dog toys, collapsible bowls, homemade dog biscuits, etc.
- Each winery will have something to offer besides just tastings and wine.
- Donation Stations for a local animal shelter:
- Swedish Hill Winery is a donation spot for Beverly Animal Shelter in Waterloo, NY. Bring in an item from their wish list to help a pet in need!
- Hosmer Winery is a donation spot for Fetch a Friend Rescue in Seneca Falls, NY. Bring in an item from their wish list to help a pet in need! (If you donated directly to their Amazon wish list, show us your receipt for a stamp on your punch card.)
- Six Mile Creek Vineyard is a donation spot for Ithaca Street Dogs. They’re mostly in need of dog/cat food, leashes, and collars, but you can also donate monetarily on their website. (If you donate online, bring in your receipt for a stamp on your punch card.)
- Long Point Winery is a donation spot for Finger Lakes SPCA. Bring in an item for their wish list to help a pet in need! (If you donated directly to the Amazon wish list, show us your receipt for a stamp on your punch card.)
- Participation in swag buying, photo booths, and donating to other pets will all be part of the fun of checking things off your punch card that’ll get your human entered into a smaller CLWT swag basket, separate from the grand prize!
- Donation Stations for a local animal shelter:
Pre-registration has been maxed out, but you’re still welcome to participate and bring your doggo!
