Kitchen Theatre Company is Central New York’s Off-Broadway theatre, producing new and contemporary plays in a beautiful LEED-certified green building in Ithaca’s West End neighborhood. From September to June, theatre-goers enjoy a season of plays that reflect the diversity of our community and the challenges of our complex world. We say “important conversations happen in the Kitchen” and choose plays to start those conversations. Post-show discussions with actors and outside experts allow audiences to share their responses and explore topics related to the productions. Come early and enjoy a drink at the bar and artwork by local artists in the lobby gallery. The intimate 99-seat performance space at 417 W. Martin Luther King, Jr. Street, Ithaca, NY has become a hub of activity for other arts groups and non-profits as well, adding to the vibrant cultural life of Ithaca, Tompkins County and Central NY. 2021-2022 marks the Kitchen’s 30th anniversary season and the first with new Producing Artistic Director Rebecca Bradshaw and new Managing Director, Cary Bland Simpson.
